Rommel watched silently, as the fog began to rise and the rain began to set in. He thought, "What a perfect environment for me to operate in, the rain muffles my shot, and light fog helps keep my position concealed." He watched as the battle filed began to appear before his eyes. He began to notice how 'open' the battle field really was. Soon, a house slowly emerged in his view. He knew this wasn't the house that his comrades were in. Rommel made a few last minute adjustments, making sure he was completely, concealed, from his rife scope to his, body. He was completely concealed.
Soon, a window came into view on the side of the house. He could see people moving inside of the house. He easily identified them as Americans. He thought "shit they have sent a patrol to watch for us." He could decipher whether to take a shot at the one he had, or report back. He finally decided that the shot would be enough of a warning to his squad. He had a clear shot of an American, through a side window. He had decided upon making a chest shot, directly into the heart. "done deal" he thought. It was by far easy than a head shot, with nearly the same results, yet a lot easier of a shot especially, when they were wearing helmets.
He centered his cross-airs, on a big broad shouldered guy. He was standing directly in front of the window, scanning for enemy activity. He took, a deep breath and held it. The cross airs were on his chest. It was perfect, "Bang!" He shot.... being sure not to move a muscle after the shot had rang out. Just as he had hoped, no smoke, fairy quiet shot. The tiny patch of steam, from the hot shell hitting the ground, rolled up a few inches before dissipating. "Yes!" He thought he had made a clean shot.

Wiktor- No real movement.
Daniel- I need to know the position of the two men in the corners of the house, can't find where you wanted them. The other man has moved successfully. Man who ran to the foxhole ran while the others opened fire at the sniper in that area.
Heydrich- Men have moved into position.
Erwin- Your shot was not entirely muffled by the rain because it wasn't pouring. Your shot went through the window breaking the bottom part and hitting the Allied soldier in the left shoulder.
Overview- With the sniper firing the Allied soldiers on the north side of the house opened fire in the direction of the sound.(Yes, this is instinct.) The bullets were hitting all over Erwin's area but no bullet struck him. Erwin's position area is compromised, but not he himself. The German side has noticed the fire fight and are getting edgy. The Allied soldiers are in small array but are ready to shoot at the next thing that moves. The shot Allied soldier will die of blood loss if not evacuated from the map in the next round of posting.

Wiktor was pondering his next move when a shot rang out. An allied soldier by the window collapsed and cried in pain. Wiktor jumped up and grabbed his M1, “Sniper! Get down!” Wiktor dove toward the ground and crawled toward the injured soldier. His left shoulder was bleeding heavily, and Wiktor knew that soon this man could die. “Do we have a medic, we got an injured man over here, and we need to get him out of here!” Wiktor pulled the man over to the eastern wall away from the enemy. Already the Allied soldiers began firing in the direction of the snipers shot. Wiktor pressurized the wound on the soldier to attempt to halt the blood flow.
“Daniel, we have to find that sniper, also the enemy knows we’re here for certain now, our position has been discovered, prepare the men for combat!” Wiktor called over an Allied soldier to tend to the injured man as best as he could. Then Wiktor crawled over to a window and peered through. There was no sign of the enemy, but he knew that the sniper was lurking out there. Dammit, we have to find that sniper, or he’s just going to pick us off one by one.
“Men, look out for the enemy, they may advance soon. If you spot them, open fire!” Wiktor leaned back against the wall and wondered if he should tell the men to advance. Wiktor went over to Daniel, “do you think we should advance? We know the enemy is somewhere to the Northwest now, it’s just a matter of action.” We have to act soon, there’s not telling what else the enemy has in store for us.

The weather finally got to him as he shivered a little but he was still holding up alright. He was not the man with the biggest or best build in the squad but he has his wits to even out his thin frame. He kept looking south occasionally moving his head to see if the men on his side were doing their job or not. It was like a sequence of events that never stopped, left - forward- left - forward. He continued until he got a bit dizzy, where was the patrol? They should have been here by now, whether shouting and running for their lives or slowly returning after a fruitless search. Which one he didn't care. As time went on he was going to almost give up and take a rest and sit down. Heydrich took his MP44 and leaned it against the wall and prepared to sit down as he sat down a loud gunfire popped, he got up immediately as soon he heard it as if he saw a car coming towards him. A few more shots followed. He worried immediate if it was the sniper or the patrol, but simply because of that simple one strong bullet sound and the rest that followed he guessed as much that is was the sniper. He got up and looked outside the side window, it wasn't clear enough to know anything. He threw his binoculars to one of the soldiers manning that window and spoke to him as he went for the door with his weapon in hand. ''Keep watch, I know it's hard but I'll go check up with the man in the foxhole, if you see anybody yell out to me!'' He rushed out to the door and ran across to the far foxhole on his left. In the middle going over to the trench and telling the soldiers it was a false alarm and the enemy was not visible yet and moved away as quickly as he could until he reached the foxhole. He crouched down constantly looking around him to see if he could find anybody or anything watching him. A bit paranoid he called the man slowly, and asked him about the sniper and got his thoughts on where he was and just like he guessed in front of him. '' Alright I want you to get comfortable, cause your our flank guard now. If the sniper was there he was most probably shooting there.'' He said pointing to the south . ''I want you facing that way if you don't like it here you can move to that tree on north.'' The soldier stated he wanted to stay where he was. Heydrich nodded and wished luck to the soldier and rushed back to the house, the few seconds it took to run felt like a few minutes, now that he knew there was an enemy he was more paranoid but he never let it show to his men. He opened the door and took took his binoculars back from the private and talked to him. "I want you to go to the tree up north to where our guy is in. " He pointed to the big tree as he said this. He assured himself that the flanks would be properly guarded now at least enough the guard would give them enough time to get the men in the house and trenches into action too. He didn't want to stop now with the man gone to help the man in the foxhole, Heydrich had to watch both windows more carefully to hopefully spot an enemy and warn everybody, occasionally looking from his binoculars to see if he could spot anything. __________________________________________

Daniel heard the shot, and said "alright everybody down, theres a sniper out there, so stop wasting ammo and giving your position away. "Wiktor, I want you to command the men to the south of the building, and your "bodyguard. I want you to to shoot at anything that moves unless it screams out the word "Texas". I am going to take the men to the North and take out the sniper, I need you to kill the men that will probably cover him. Daniel told the men to the North to advance using the leapfrog method as soon as they heard two grenades go off. Daniel crawled up to the trench keeping as low as possible.
He yelled up to the man in the foxhole "I want you to toss a grenade in the area of the sniper, I will do the same. "on three, one, two (the pin is pulled), three!, he heaved the grenade as precisely as he could as ho not hit the man in the foxhole, and he saw the man in the foxhole lob it into the area. There were two huge explosions that shook the earth, and Daniel crawled into the trench careful not to disturb the wiring or explosives. He looked back, and saw the other men getting into cover by trees to the North of the building. "Damn, we still can't see much with this fog." He looked around and could make out three figures two trees away. "nobody could have gotten that far up" he thought.
He turned around in his position in between the two Northmost charges, and told Wilkor and the bodyguard to fire on those three targets, and he would do the same. The three weapons fired a whole clip of ammunition into the group of three; 15 m1 carbine bullets, and 8 m1 garand bullets, and 5 bullets from the private's bolt action rifle.
He thought "we better get that sniper soon, or we are history."

Rommel watched as the soldier fell. He was completely still, knowing that a single movement and he was toast. They had his position, narrowed to a few square metered area. He watched as bullets began flying all over the place around him. One taking the limb off a near by tree. He wasn’t happy with how quite the shot was, he predicted it would be quieter, unfortunately it wasn’t.
He himself was getting nervous himself. Soldier began coming out of the house, and an officer shouting commands. He knew he didn't have long and it was over.
He had to come up with a plan, and fast. He could notice only 20 meters or so away an allied soldier popping in and out of a fox hole. This was his only problem this American as it seemed to be, being so close. He pondered the idea to take another shot, but he knew that would be the end of it. Instead while his position was still concealed he was going to make a break for it, although he was taking this allied soldier with him. As slow as a snail he slid his ride arm back and sipped a potato masher out of his bag.
Quietly he unscrewed the bottom, and grabbed hold of the glass ball. By now he had slid himself to being completely covered behind the tree. He could very slightly lean his head to the right and still see the soldier in the foxhole. He waited till the soldier had ducked down, he pulled the glass ball.
He counted “3-2-1” and slung the potato masher around the base of the tree directly into the foxhole of the unsuspecting American. Boom! The grenade shook the battle around, he didn’t turn around to look for any damage. He then quickly, and cautiously backed up keeping the tree directly inline of the allied soldiers, until he came level with another tree. Then he made a dash for it, stopping at a tree a few feet from his position, only to take a second’s breather, and then he ran and slid on into a foxhole. Clutching his gun as tight as he could he lay there, frightened breathing, panting.
He knew now the only thing he could do was wait for dark to get out of this one. Or, pick them off one by one. He lay there in the bottom of the hole. Rommel opened his canteen and took a swig. Finally recovering from the run, he wondered how many allies were left, he had taken out or seriously wounded two.

Firing has occured on the German patrol and on Erwin. The two grenades that landed near Erwin exploded simutaneously sending shrapnel into his right leg. It will be hard for him to move, but can still give accurate shots. Erwin's grenade landed short, but exploded, causing shrapnel to fly into the eyes of the Allied soldier. He is unable to see, and will likely die if not treated.
The patrol was being fired upon, wounding one soldier in the leg. He is still functional.
Overall The Allies are down 2 men, and the Germans are down 0. Wounded but can still fight, are not counted.
Map will be coming once I can use my other computer.

Alright, I would like to see a map with every post depicting your movements, so it will be easier for me to make the map. Also, Dan, your NPC's are armed with M1 Garands, standard US issue, not a Springfield like you thought...or at least I think you thought that
Now the map, if you have any corrections, please tell me.

OOC: your map Walter shows that we have only 7 alive NPC's, only two died, we should have 8 Wiktor leaned against the cold wall as he thought over the situation. They were definitely down one man, the man hit by the sniper, and maybe two since he heard a German grenade go off. He knew that they were going all wrong with this fight, they couldn’t just sit here, it was time to take the fight to the enemy. Wiktor sat up, brushed the dirt off his pants, and ran over too where Daniel was. “Daniel, we can’t win the battle like this, we have to move. Take the four men near you and move west, keeping on the outskirts of the field. If you see any Germans, and you can get a CLEAN shot, and then take it, we need to thin their numbers. Also if you find that sniper, do not kill him, unless he fights back, I want him captured.” Wiktor ran back to the four soldiers positioned to the south and gathered them together. “Alright men, we are going to attack the enemy. You four need to follow me, were going to move west and take them out, if you see the enemy, alert me, but do not fire until told to do so, am I clear?” The soldiers gently nodded their heads as they picked up their gear and stood at attention. “Alright, let’s go.” Wiktor began walking west through the trees, not finding any sign of life. I hope they’re not all in the north, or Daniels going to get hell. After a few minutes Wiktor halted the men and peered out into the distance. A house loomed in the distance, and the obvious presence of life was inside. Doubt there are civilians here, must be the Krauts. Wiktor turned around toward the men and beckoned them closer. “Alright men, the enemy is dead ahead of us. We are going to engage them, have no mercy. I want you two too land a couple of grenades into that trench; I imagine they have soldiers there. Make sure that one lands in the north part, and the other in the south part, but wait for my signal. You two follow me.” Wiktor crawled up until he found a foxhole. “You two, in here.” The soldiers nodded in unison and positioned themselves inside. Wiktor walked a few paces up until he found a suitable large tree. He noticed that there was a German soldier darting in and out from behind a tree. He then turned around too the two soldiers with the grenades and signaled them too throw. He then turned toward the two men in the foxhole, and told them too fire at the windows of the house, finding targets, and taking them out. Just before the grenades went off, Wiktor faced the German behind the tree, sighted on him with his M1, and opened fire.

Moderation Post - German Patrol fires three shots toward the incoming Allied patrol (Wiktor) no serious damage is incurred.
-German patrol raced back to their commander and are near him giving him a report of what happened.
-Grenades exploded from the Allies, one grenade fell short of the trench exploding causing no serious damage. Other grenade landed in the close end of the trench barely, causing the soldier to climb out.
-Allied soldiers opened fire on their targets. Because of distance, accurate fire was not possible, but bullets sprayed landing in the building's wall, not piercing it.
-One bullet hit the running German soldier (from the trench) in the back killing him instantly.
-The Germans have opened fire on the soldiers from the South.
-Daniel's team has run into the Axis sniper, Erwin Rommel, while he was waiting for them. He stays low to the ground trying not to be seen. (Do not mistake this, he has not been seen, only the Allies have stopped in his area, waiting for more orders.)
-Germans have not yet realized a team in the North.
Wiktor, could you make another map, showing the positioning of your troops, individually.
-Finally, the long awaited action has started, the blood pounding sensation one who will die.

Post by Heydrich Šechtl on Jan 11, 2010 9:58:00 GMT -5
Bullets crashed against the house with such force that it was hard to not ignore it. He watched as the patrol run back one barely holding on with the others. Heydrich shouted at one of the people to open the door for them. As soon as they ran in, the door closed with a sharp screech from the rusted hinges on the door. One of them fell down, grasping his leg. Heydrich leaned over and calmed the man. After a few seconds he gathered himself when one of the men ripped off part of the injured man's trousers from his injured leg and tied it around the leg to stop the bleeding. Heydrich and the man helped him up as the rest joined to continue shooting at the enemy who were shooting themselves. A loud scream erupted as Heydrich looked outside the window from a distance from the actual window. One of the men he placed into the trench reacted on instinct and ran out following a grenade. He died within seconds. Everybody's look now turned stone cold. They all knew this was the real deal. Heydrich shrugged it off and tried to focus. He asked one of the more determined men shooting as if he actually found something. '' They are south of here, right?'', Heydrich mumbled. With a nod the private replied. He thought, ''Alright, two of you stay here and try to get them through the window.'' He looked out to see the man in the foxhole notice this too and was firing. '' See, there are too many men here. If they throw a stick at us we'll be blown to shit for nothing. So one... two... three... four of you come with me, we are going to try to find an alternative position to counter attack, lets hope the enemy haven't covered our flanks yet. Anyways I haven't heard from Erwin, this worries me. We'll check that side out first.'' He said pointing out the side window. Leaving two men behind in the house, he slowly opened the back door and beckoned for one of the men to go out and look outside. The path that they came from was untouched but the unknown west faced them. Heydrich moved outside in a crouched position. He remembered placing one man in the foxhole near there. He could see movement on the far side but classified that as an animal. He wanted to take a few shots into the blue there, but hesitated as it could be the sniper hiding. With their back to their wall the four men stood waiting for the officer to give them the command. He chose the fastest runner in the squad and ordered him to run to the tree and try to make contact with the man in the foxhole. Before he sent him out he ordered one man back in and told him to man the side window to be their visual guide. After waiting for awhile, he decided instead of running he should crawl, he waited until the man slowly crawled to the tree in front of him . Heydrich noted something, he had seen two foxholes in the area before and something really seemed to be moving around there. With a 'shhh' sign to the man at the tree. He tried to beckon to him that there was someone behind him. He pointed to his back and did a sign which told him there was someone behind him hopefully Erwin. He pointed to the man at the foxhole who was looking at the southern enemies. He knew as well that it may be Erwin in the further hole to the west. He wasn't prepared to take the risk of shooting all out at that area. He moved himself more into a cover position at the corner of the building and made sure his gun was loaded and aimed his sights down the area. While this happened, Heydrich was unaware that the man at the tree was trying to get the attention of the man in the foxhole and had begun to throw stones at him, as the man turned around he noticed Heydrich's man at the tree and with that he saw something move in the other foxhole and instinctively took a few shots at the direction and covered himself. This got to the other man and he tossed a grenade in the area of the foxhole and covered back into the bushes hoping that the tree would cover him from the unknown number of enemies or maybe just squirrels in that directions.
