OOC:Well here it goes what we have been waiting for, for ever!!!
Winters and his 4 platoons, had set sail for one of the largest allied seaborne invasions in history. They had left England all on several large boats. These large boats where towing several small landing craft called LCI’s. When the troops got close enough they where to climb down the side ladders into the LCI’s and swarm into the beaches. Seemed like a cake walk, there was air support, and tons of ships and troops, Germany didn’t have a chance.
Winters was sitting on the deck of the ship, watching the soldiers BS and grown and moan about the upcoming invasion that was to be coming up within hours. He decided to go down and try to raise some moral amongst the troops. Winters walked down the warm steel steps of the hardened battle ship, to the deck, where he met up with a few privates who where in his platoon. He asked them if they ever played cards before. They all nodded yes, so he told them to follow him. Winters took them into his office
In the cabin, they all sat down around a wooden table. Winters reached into his pack and pulled out a deck of cards. He began dealing out the cards to the five other men, for a game of poker. Winters Played the game with them for a few minutes. Till the captain of the boat, came on the loud speaker, within his office and said ”Sir! I need you in the wheel house!” Winters responded ”OK Captain be there in a minute” Winters stood his chair back, and stood up then said, ”well boys I got to go, I don’t mind if Y’all hang around and stay just stay out of my shit!” Winters stood up and walked off towards the wheel house.
He opened the door to the wheel house, and the captain pointed out the window and said, ”Sir look through the scope, I think I see land!” Winters bent over and peered through the scope. He could barely notice what began to look like the coast. Then it began to come into site, this was the coast line. Although they were still 10 miles off shore.
Winters reached over, and grabbed the PA, he squeezed in the button, and said ”Attention soldiers, we are within 10 miles of our target once we reach, the 5 mile mark, I want all soldiers to begin filling the LCI’s, we will deploy the LCI’s at 4 miles, to mark.” Winters hung up the loud speaker, and went down to prepare his own gear.

((German Speech Scripted Into English Language.)) It was June 6th, 1944. Today was the day. The Day which we have prepared for these many months. Building Bunkers, Digging Trenches, Making Fortifications. Today was the day that The Allied Forces, were going to invade Europe, But Germany Was Ready. Well Equipped and Battle Hardened, They Would Fight For Their Country. Schmit said this to himself as he looked out his balcony window. We Must Be Ready, We Shall Destroy Them. Schmit kept thinking and thinking with these crazy speeches. Maybe he should have said this to the men. Heading back to his bedroom, Schmit grabbed his Uniform and slipped it on. Looking to the door, he could see a man standing there. He recognized his face. It was one of the Artillery Gunners. It seemed to Schmit that he was huffing and puffing. Schmit yelled over to him, “Soldier, what’s wrong?” “Well Sir, We Have A Confirmation That The Allied Forces WILL Attack Today. Two Me 109’s scouted down the Atlantic Ocean, They Could See Thousands of Ships.” “Yes Sir! “ The Soldier Saluted and Marched down stairs. With his uniform Buttoned up, and his Waffen-SS Cap on his head, Schmit grabbed his Mp-40 and His Equipment, and Head Downstairs. Greeting some of his guards, Schmit Said “You Two Come with Me. “ “Yes Sir. “ They replied. “Do Any Of You Now Where First Platoon Is? “ One Replied, Yes Sir, I Believe They Are Down By The West Bunker. “ “Alright, lets go. “ Looking up into the sky, Schmit could see the Sun. It was so bright. So Bright, That It Could Hurt Your Eyes. Blinking a couple times, Schmit looked back to his front. In the Far Distance, Schmit could see the beach. It Was So Beautiful. The Waves hitting the shore, the sunlight reflecting off the waves. It would be a great place to live down here. Arriving to the trenches, Schmit over heard the boys talking. “Man, I Cant Wait to Blow My Kar 98k into their face!” “Oh Ya?, I Want to Shove A Grenade In One Of There Mouths And Watch Them Explode! “. The Boys Laughed, But Schmit Wasn’t. As He Got Closer, One Of The Guards Shouted Out. “ Attention! “ The Men Stood up and stiffed there body. “Relax “. Replied Schmit as he looked at his men. “Sorry About That Sir, Didn’t Mean To Get That Into Your Head “. “ Don’t Worry, It Will Happen Soon, All Your Goals Will Happen “. " We Will Have Our Guns Ramming Down Their Throats, and If We Don’t, Then May My Mother Feed Me Flesh of A Human! “ “ Yea! “ The Men roared as Schmit gave his little " Momentum " Speech. “Alright Now Listen Here, Today We Fight! “. The Men roared again, ringing in Schmit’s Ears. “We have Reports of At least 1 Thousand Ships heading toward Our Beach, So Be Prepared, and This Is going To Be Intense. Now I Might Now Be With You, But If I Am, You Better Show Them Pig Kissers that Hitler Shall Rise!” The Men Shouted So Load That Half The Beach Could Here The Roars Of 1st Platoon. “Alright Enough with This Peppy Talk, Get Into Positions and Get Ready “. The Men Nodded and Were Off. Schmit Just Hoped That His Talk Could Improve the Men’s Fighting Performance.

Kurt was standing, within the concrete bunker, where along with him where 12 other soldiers, and his commander Egbert, ”What a great commander Kurt thought he had led me through countless battles” Kurt stood up and walked outside of the bunker.
Kurt had went out side to take a piss. He walked over to a tree and did the only thing he came out to do, until he heard someone shouting at him. He walked over to a tiny storage shed, and noticed one of the privates there attempting to lift a huge crate of MG42 Ammo.
Kurt walked over and grabbed the other end of it. It was Fedor Henke Egbert had sent him out to grab some ammo, only to figure out he couldn’t lift it. They walked their way towards the opening of the bunker chatting about what they thought the invasion was gonna be like. Kurt said ”So you think this will be easy? To hold them off atleast?” He replied ” Well, seems like it could get a bit hairy I mean they have thousands of troops headed this was, I think we will be able to hold out section but a few other sections of this wall might have fun trying, them damned allies ain’t given up without at fight!”
Kurt nodded agreeing to what the young fellow said. They walked into the bunker and set down the heavy crate of ammo. They then began unloading some of the belts and loading the gun. Kurt grabbed a pair of binoculars setting on the edge of the bunker, he threw them up and peered through them, he was stunned as he saw the massive forces headed there way. He threw up his newly purchased STG45 one of the best weapons of the Axis side, he was lucky to get it, it had been the last one the army had in the area. Kurt rested his weapon on the edge of the bunker waiting for the allied forces to approach.

The deep blue ocean... The cascading water.. The horizon across the water... These were probably the only good things Nick would see today. Today was the day, the day that would be remembered throughout the ages as the Battle of Normandy on Omaha Beach. "We have numbers... We have weapons.. We have more discipline than those fucking Nazi's and Jap's... Ain't no way in hell we'll lose.." thought Williams, as he looked at the ocean, standing near a rail. "Sir!" shouted out of the men under his command. "Yes soldier?" asked Williams, and the man responded with "We are a good 9 to 10 miles off!". This was the time, Williams then shouted out "Squads! Get your shit ready! We're gonna be going in soon! I want you to check your ammo, your guns, all your gear! I want you to even shine your damn boots! We're gonna show these bastards a -REAL- military!". Grabbing his Springfield, Williams lined down the scope properly, and shot several shots to make sure the scope was dead on. Reloading and then grabbing his Grease gun, he checked the ammo on that as well. All was good, it was show time.

Schwarz Feuergeist loaded his guns, sliding the bullets from the stripper clip into his Karabiner, loading a magazine into his MP40. He kneeled next to the MG42 and peered out towards the sea. He could see several small dots on the horizon, which gradually got larger and larger. He smirked, and laughed at the stupidity of the Allies, mounting a direct attack on such a fortified position. He slipped his two stick grenades into the loops on his belt, and grabbed ahold of the MG42's handle, instructing another soldier by the name of Ellmar Kellner to be ready with a new ammo belt and barrel. He would fire once the doors opened on their pathetic little landing craft, and he would attempt do his best to kill them all. "I refuse to die, I refuse to lose, I refuse to retreat! He shouted, rallying his troops. Who are we?!? THE ARYAN RACE!!! They screamed. They had rallied. It was time to fight.

William moved to the front of his landing craft. In front of his platoon. He gripped his Russian rifle tightly. The checked his ammo, adjusted his sight, and put his grenades in place. In a short time, he may be alone, dead, gone it was truly frightening. "All right men, this is it. Say your prayers, and hope that we don't die. But we won't die, we will win. The Germans don't know what they are getting themselves into, they may kill us, they may rip our bodies to pieces, but our spirit, our strength, and our pride will live on in the soldier next to us. You aren't dead until your forgotten. We shall not die, no we shall not be forgotten, we shall survive this battle, and we will blow those Nazi shits to hell like they deserve." The soldiers cheered. "Check your ammo and line up your sights, I don't want anyone to die because of their weapon. I'm carrying the satchel charge, if I die, the closest person to me will take it. This is plan. We rush into the blind spot, set up the 30 Cal. Blow the living shit out of their infantry. I'll rush forward, blow one bunker to hell. Then we keep blowing the shit out of them. Meanwhile, the other platoons will be doing their job to remove the other bunkers. Now, after the rest of the bunkers are clear, the 30 Cal will move up and keep suppressing, we will advance while its covering. If any of you die I won't be able to forgive myself, so none of you SHOULD die. None of you WILL die. But as I don't feel like reaching for your dead bodies while MGs are on us, pass me your dog tags now. You'll get them back by this time tomorrow, ALL OF YOU." William looked out at the beach. "Don't be scared, we won't die, I'll take bullets for you guys if I have to."

Rommel sat in the bunker he was assigned to, along with his 12 men under his command. Rommel felt weird commanding 12 soldiers into what was going to be one of the hardest fought battles ever. After all he was only a Rottenführer only the 3rd lowest rank.
He walked over to, Alfreds Tanneberger, Elsko Juditzki, and Gerd Kolb, who where standing near the machine gun at the opening of the bunker. Rommel asked the 3 of them "So what do you guys think is gonna happen here?"
Alfreds Tanneberger replied " Well I think that the allies are gonna get their asses slaughtered on this beach, and we are gonna who them what we is made of!, We Can Do This!! For the Fatherland!!!" Gerd Kolb said " Well I don't know look of yonder there, there are a shit load of ships, and have been lots of ar support going by, this could be a tough fight." Elsko Juditzki jumped in and said, " Damn you shut up we ain't gonna have no problem fighting these here yanks!"]
Rommel looked out to the horizon, noticing the massive fleet of allies headed this way. He was beginning to doubt how this would turn out.
He turned around, and noticed they were short on ammo. He shouted "Tite Reichert, Karl Graf, Ahrend Lowerick, and Gerlach Berndl, get me 2 crates of ammo immediately, from the storage shed out back!" The 4 of them shouted back "Yes Sir!" and took off. They came back minutes later exhausted from carrying the ammo. They walked over and set it down near the MG.
Rommel turns and said, " Thanks, now prepare for battle this isn't gonna be an easy on boys!" Rommel check is Karbiner 43 to make sure it was loaded, and his side arm. Then rested over the edeg of the bunker peering at the incoming fleet.

Zeke could see the Normandy coastline approaching dead ahead, and was busy cleaning his gun. It was sort of a comfort thing in such times. He had oiled the BAR so much that the bullets wouldn't even have to be fired to go flying out the barrel, and the Thompson had it's fair share of grease added to it. He wiped his face with a clean rag, and waved over his men. "This is it, boys. Time to face down Hitler's pride itself. We will win this battle, or we will all die trying. Like Fox said to his men earlier, I don't feel like picking up your dog tags under heavy gunfire, so none of you make me. We will live or die in this battle. The germans will take no prisoners. Understand me?" His entire platoon yelled, "SIR YES SIR!!!" He smiled at their (at the least feigned) enthusiasm. He knew they could easily all be dead in several minutes, but such was war. Zeke turned, grim faced, to stare down the coastline. As if he could win. As if it was possible that they all weren't going to die. Zeke took the dogtags from his own neck, checked them for a minute, and held them over the side of the boat, considering dropping them. After a minute, he decided he wanted the Germans to know where he died, and put them back around his neck. He strapped the Thompson on his back, put the browning in it's holster, and held the BAR out in front of him. War was brewing...

****MODERATION POST**** - Ok, the First round has ended now to start the serious stuff. The posting order is the same, but we will not start the second half until I get Lewis's approval, that he has time and can mod mark it!
- You Guys did an excellent job of posting keep up the good work.
- Also this one is up to Lewis, but I do think that if you do not post on your second time around, you will be kicked out of the battle, any men under your command will be given to the highest ranking of your side then he/she can do what they please with them. Not to be harsh but there has to be a a strict set of rules for such a long and enduring Battle, its a lot of work to mod one of this size, again if you want the best out of your character BE DESCRIPTIVE.
Thanks, ~Austin!

(I REFUSE TO GIVE UP MY POST!!! and Winters, I'm a girl -_-)
Trinity gripped her new M1 Garand rifle as she looked out at the whole setting. It was a lot to take in, especially nerveracking, yet exciting, since she hadn't ever been in a real battle before. She listened intently to the orders and glanced around at the other soldiers. Most of them seemed nervous, others looked rather excited. Trinity wasn't sure what to think. She was nervous, and also excited. She wanted to prove that a woman could fight just as well as a man could, but she didn't look forward to so many deaths and so much killing. She had to admit that people glorified war way too much, and at one point even questioned why she joined the army in the frist place, but promptly reminded herself why she was here and what she was supposed to be doing. She knew that the only way that they were going to win this battle was if all the soldiers, her included, tried their hardest. If she were to die for her country, she knew it would be worth it. War meant sacrifice and if it would end the war sooner, she would be willing. However she didn't intend to die. Not yet.

Winters hit the deck of the steel hulled ship. His gear ready, he began going down the list of his Platoon.
"Private Matthew M. Blair Private Harry J. Lyndon Private Wayne K. Taylor Private Keith P. Small Private Eric T. Shannon Private Lachlan D. Brown Private Lance K. Redfern Private Jamie Walsh Private Donny Well Private John Teal Private Patrick Troy Private Jason Pate"
"Are We All Ready?!?!?!?
He got back several replies of "Yes SIR!!"
Winters than ordered all men to begin boarding the LCI's. Every man began descending the rope ladder, on the side of the boat. You could hear the Clang, as every soldier and their gear hit the hull of the LCI. After waiting several minutes, and being sure all the men AND their equipment was loaded, winters jumped into the LCI.
The men were puking their guts out, well most of them. Except Winters he had never had motion sickness so it didn't bother him at all, along with a few other men. Although puking the men maintained their moral and where determined to take this beach weather those damned Nazis Like it or not. Then they became so close they could begin to make out the bunkers and the openings into them for the MG's. "Oh how I would love to walk up there and toss a few grenades, into that opening, and let them Kraut Baster's explode into little pieces" Shouted one of the men, the rest of the men followed along and said "YEA!!" They where now about to test their skill like never before, yet none of them knew it...................yet.
They where just minutes from shore, "E.T.A. 2 MINUTES!!!!!"/b] Winters shouted of the load groan and moan of the engine on the small boat.
Then the ETA shortened too 30 seconds this was it.
The ramp Crashed, and all hell broke loose. The German MG's opened up sending a barrage of fire every where. Winters men began charging out of the LCI. Cheering their battle cry "CURAHEE!!" Winters looked forward, and ordered all men to take to the near by embankment, and huddle down for over their. They began running ducking behind the Metallic X's as bullets flew off of them. Jumping into a shell crater, then back out. Then they came to the embankment, every soldier huddled down behind it. Winters Thompson had little or no effect at this range. SO he saved ammo by not firing till he could see the whites, of their eyes.
Private Matthew M. Blair, Private Harry J. Lyndon, and Private Wayne K. Taylor, were in charge of their platoons 30 Cal. Winters ordered it set up on the embankment. They began keeping a steady stream of fire when they could at the bunkers. The 3 soldiers in charge of the gun, were doing a good job, although only 2 being needed at the moment. One to shoot and one to feed the ammo. The one feeding was well below cover. The other one was just barely enough up to see the iron sights of the 30 cal, and the opening on the bunker. He could see concrete kicking up where he was kitting on the outside of the bunker.
Winters then not sure, if the 30 cal was helping at the moment or not. Ordered the men to stop firing and save, ammo. He ordered them all to keep down within the hole. They were all safe and under cover. He now waited to see if the other 3 squads followed as planned.

- Austin Your Post Seems Fine its just, you could have atleast said that 2 of your men had died when getting out of the boat, ATLEAST. This Is Because When D-DAY Actually Happened, Usually Half The Platoon Was Killed, Hell Luckily For The Germans, The Whole Platoon Could Have Been Killed. Just To Clarify That With You.
