"Ha ha ha. Well my friend, you just got your first taste of Stroh 80. It is an Austrian drink that contains 80% alcohol per volume. It is some of the strongest stuff in the world and 2 shots will get you blind drunk." Rolf smiled as he poured another shot of Stroh 80 out. He drank it, and tried to suppress a coughing fit. He almost succeeded but a small cough slipped out. Rolf then noticed the bottle of vodka that Rolf had brought from his quarters. It looked strangely like the missing vodka from his stolen stuff. "Hey Rolf," said Rolf. "Where'd you say you got that vodka again?"

Bernhard had the glass of brandy in his hand when the two privates were admitted to his brother's quarters. He took a sip and was amused by the actions. He was hoping for a little private time with his brother but oh well, no matter. "I'm assuming these boisterous youth are in your platoon brother?" Bernhard teased motioning with his glass. He winked at his brother while they carried on and in a commanding, stern tone, almost yelling, "What is this behavior?! You will show the proper respect to your surperiors!" He took the drinks from their hands and set them down roughly with a scowl on his face. "Atten-shun! Where are your salutes?!" He roared at them. He tried not to smirk at their reactions, quickly taking on a swagger as he had seen his senior officers and began to inspect their uniforms.

"Excuse me for a minute, Rolf." Rolf saluted to Bernhard Dieter only. "Sir, I did not realise your rank sir! And beg you pardon sir, I am not a private. I am an SS-Oberscharführer, the second highest ranking man here. Your friend over there should be saluting to me. By the way sir, I am SS-Oberscharführer Rolf Blauvelt, commander of the 3rd Infantry platoon, 1st Fallschirmjäger Division, First Infantry Parachute Regiment, Sir" Rolf definately tried to sound proud while saying that. He valued his positon in the Fallschirmjäger over any other command. He wanted others to do the same.

Johan could only grin as the troopers got caught up in their celebrating. He almost burst out laughing when Bernhard broke up the cheery troopers' little party. He was a bit impressed by the speed at which the young private jumped to attention. He had been well trained and such would be a boon to any battle that they all got into.
"Only Private Reinhard," he replied. "As of this moment, within the 1st Fallschirmjäger Division there are only two men I have to salute. Our Division CO and XO. At any rate, I look forward to working alongside you, Tech Sergeant Blauvelt. And serving with you, Private Reinhard." He offered his hand in turn to each of the enlisted.

Bernhard returned the salute smartly and smiled at Blauvlet. He liked the man's attitude already. He could see he and his brother working well with him. He watched his brother for shake the hands of the two men and gave each a grin. "Pleasure to meet you both." He extended a hand to shake both men's hands as well. "I look forward to working with you Rolf. Perhaps we can arrange a mock skirmish with our platoons at some point in the future. A little friendly competition."

The other officer in the room said to Rolf that he only needed to salute to his CO and XO. Rolf guessed he was right. He offered his hand to each of them saying how it would be great to serve with them. Rolf had fallen for that once, but he decided to play along. "It will be an honor serving beside you as well. Would you like some Stroh 80, sirs? Or maybe some vodka from Reinard's private collection." He gave a quick glance at Reinard like he suspected something was up with him. "So, what was it like when you first jumped out of a real plane? I'm not talking about a training tower, I mean a real flying plane, with wings and everything. For some reason, every time I ask someone, they talk about the training tower. I don't know why. I'm sorry. I didn't even ask your names." Rolf thought he would like these guys, even if they were totally blind to the eminent mess that would predictably happen.

Johan held up a hand. "No more to drink for me," he said. "Although I'm sure the drinking is quite fun, I prefer to keep my wits about me, especially now that we are at war with the west. You never know when the call will come in."
He turned and set his glass down on the small end table and then turned to his brother briefly before returning his attention to Blauvelt. "I'm more of a ground soldier than anything as that is where most of my training is situated. However, I have jumped from a plane a few times. I am by no means a professional in that respect, but I do feel comfortable in it.
"As for my first time, well it was definately a unique experience. Exhilirating, frightening, all sorts of emotions at once. But the training allowed me to keep my cool and complete that jump and several others without a problem. What about yourself?"

"My first experience jumping out of a plane. Hm. At first, it felt like I was going to commit suicide right before I jumped. When I fell out, and felt the tug of my parachute open, it was like I was flying. I was invincible, and noone could stop me, not even God Himself. I was excited and happy and joyful, just so many good and happy emotions. Then it all stopped when I hit the ground. I came back to reality, got up, buried my parachute, and went about with the training mission." Rolf grabbed the bottle of Stroh 80, poured it in a shot glass with the vodka, and downed the shot glass. "As for killing Yanks, I can't do it when I'm drunk. I can't see him and I shoot at the tree behind him, if I'm lucky to even have the weapon loaded. That's why I don't drink before a battle. I've seen some good men die to BUI." Rolf drank another shot of Stroh 80.

Bernharnd smiled at the men. "i am with my brother on this. I only have one drink because I know what happens when I have too many!" he laughed smiling at the men. "As for jumping. I was scared shitless and wondered why the hell i'd signed up for this," he burst into laughter again almost as if he thought it was more funny than it really was. "I thought, why in God's name am I jumping out of a perfectly good airplane? Before I knew it I was out the door, the 'chute popped and I was floating. I had to open my eyes haha! I love it now." He listened intently to the men nodding when appropriate. He eyed the bottle of Strohs and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "On second thought, one more drink will not kill me. I will have a drink of that Strohs. Thank you for the invention." He accepted the drink and downed it, his eyes getting wide and he coughed a little. "Wow. quite the stuff." He ocughed a little more. "Thank you very much for that experience." He grinned again.

Rolf laughed as Bernhard downed a shot of Stroh 80. "I forgot to warn you that Stroh 80 has a bite to it." Rolf took another shot of Stroh 80 and vodka mix. "So, how'd you get to be here, in a place thats in the middle of a forest, with no action whatsoever except that time when the engineering plant exploded. Hey Rolf, wanna tell them the story of the big boom on base?" Rolf laughed again, thinking that everything he said was hilarious. 'There's the first sign of being drunk,' he thought. 'stop now before you totally embaress your self in front of the officers.'
