Klaus was quite frankly suprised by the amount of questions the Rolf asked him at once. Maybe he was trying to bait him, or maybe he was just curious."Well, I always wanted to serve the fatherland, and to get out and see some other races. But I also want something to fall back on if I get seriously wounded or after the war ends, and I have always been interested in law." Klaus answered the first of the questions. " This war is has it's goods and it's bads for me. I think we should expand east into communist lands, I think they have more to offer. The Anglos should just stop resisting, and the Yanks should ally with us if they know whats good for them." Klaus responded. "But the Yanks are to thick headed to ally, and if the Brits surrendered we would have a good foothold to then invade Spain and west Africa, and then America, and finnaly the Japs. I am not so found of our island allies in the east, for they seem to bloodthirsty and fanatical. And not fanatical in a good way." Klaus finished, out of breath. "Im sorry if I bombarded you with so many opinions, but I love tactics." he apologized as they neared the barracks.

Rolf was pleased with how Klaus answered all his questions with ease. "I mostly agree with you in your opinions," said Rolf. "The Communist land does have much to offer, and we will take it any way we can, though I do not agree with the Russian treatment. If we treated them better, then they would be with us, because they hated Stalin. But since we are abusing them, they ally 'steel man.' We need to take over Italy, not Spain. Spain is already Facist, and partial to us. Italy is weak and the only way we won't get attacked from the south is if we take over it. I have respect for the Japanese, but some of their experiments can get out of hand, as some of ours have, and I totally disagree with the experiments performed on P.O.W.s. The Japanese, and us, need to treat P.O.W.s like P.O.W.s, not like the Jewish enemy." Rolf was surprised himself at how much he told Klaus. He rarely voiced his opinions like that, in long strands. He ususally talked in short sentences. Rolf wondered if Klaus would tell another officer about some of his not so Nazi views. Rolf didn't want to go to a concentration camp where he would be treated like a Jewish worker, like Auschwitz. The very thought horrified him. Going to a different subject, Rolf asked,"What do you like doing in your free time?"

Rolf told Klaus his opinion, rather nervously near the end, and Rolf was probably worried that Klaus would report him. Klaus had worried the same thing many times, for he did not agree with some Nazi views either. " I enjoy reading the most in my spare time. I also enjoy shooting my Kar98, and I hunt with it often. I also inspect my dress uniform often, it is my most valued possesion." He said as clouds slowly creeped over the darking sky. "And if you thought I would re-" He was cut off as a man lept from the trees and Vodka bottle was smashed across his face.

Rolf was listening to Klaus and was about to respond when a man jumped out of the woods and attacked Klaus with a vodka bottle. "Mien Gott," muttered Rolf, mostly to himself, as he reached for the pitiful excuse of a knife, and started attacking the assailant. He hit the bottle out of the man's hand and saw him draw a pistol, a Walther P38, by the looks of it. BOOM! He fired and hit Rolf in the left arm. Rolf could feel his bones in his forearm break. Luckily he hit the left arm, and not his dominant right arm. Rolf, now totally infused with adrenaline, slashed wildly at the unknown assailant, again knocking the weapon out of his hand. Now the other man was desperate, and infused with as much adrenaline as Rolf was. He was cornered, and he knew it. He hit Rolf as hard as he could, but he just kept on coming. He saw that the other man dropped a knife, so Rolf picked that knife up too and pinned the unknown assailant with both knives. Seeing Klaus on the ground, bleeding on the face, Rolf tried to help him up, but realized that he got hit in the arm, and fell down yelling. After that initial shock, Rolf was finally getting a good look at the assailant. He wore the uniform of a Wehrmacht private, and looked to be about 19. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, and looked mostly German. He was filled with terror, and he looked so scared, that he probably wet his pants. Rolf looked at the assailant, and asked in a business like manner, "Well, kid. Want to explain everything here?" He then looked at Klaus, and asked,"You ok Klaus? You wanna kill him or should the firing squad do that?" Rolf grimaced again, as he saw that his excessive movement had caused the bone to break through the skin.

Klaus rose, holding his left hand to his bleeding face. Rolf asked him if he was okay. " Yep, I've had worse cuts. The helmet took some of the impact." trying to stay calm as the alcohol stung his already painful cut." He looked at Rolf and the attacker for the first time after he rose. The attacker was young and looked as if he might have a heart attack from the ordeal. Rolf was pinning him down with two knives, but he looked as if he was in pain, and Klaus soon saw that he had a pretty bad wound on his left arm. A pistol lay by the man, so he assumed that was what wounded Rolf " Lets throw a few punches at him" Klaus said balling his fists "Then interrogate him after I get a bandage" he said, once again remembering the painfull cut on his face.

Klaus had said something about throwing some punches at the man and then interrogating him, but Rolf didn't hear all that. He was losing blood, and he was starting to feel faint. Then came the part about the bandages. "Ok. You go do that. I'll stay here and guard this traitorous rat until you get back. Don't worry about me, I'll be able to guard him," Rolf said to Klaus as he picked up the pistol with his still good right hand, and pointed it at the traitor. "If you even think about trying to run, I'll shoot you in the legs, in the arms, in the crotch, then your brain, and I'll watch you bleed and wriggle and see the life go out of you like a fire fly set free from a jar." The traitor looked even more scared at those words, and Rolf smelled a horrible stench, as he saw the traior's pants turn brown.

Kurt walked out of the barracks with his energy restored after a small nap. A officer was aiming a gun at a young private who looked shaken, his pants were brown and he was bruised. "What the heck happened here?" questioned Kurt taking a step towards the private.

Rolf suddenly turned around, which caused more pain in his already very painful arm, but he ignored it, and confronted this new person. He had asked, 'What the heck happened here?', and Rolf was about to explain it to him, when he blacked-out for a few seconds. He saw the pinned private smile a little, but when Rolf looked at him, the smile disappeared, and his pants got wetter. "Well, what happened here was Klaus and I(Rolf gestered to Klaus) were coming back from the woods, when, out of the blue, came this guy(Rolf gestered to the pinned private) and attacked us. He got Klaus on the face with a vodka bottle, and shot my left arm out with a Walthers P90(indicating first to his arm, then to the pistol lying on the ground). So I pinned him to the tree and we were starting to interrogate him when you showed up. By the way, what is your name?"

"Kurt Hence" replied Kurt glancing at the private. Then he scanned the mans arm and the man named Klaus's face. "Nice to meet both of you." he said walking towards them. "But I'm confused..." He continued "Why would he randomly attack you?" He finished pointing at the rather messy private. "Oh and one more question." He said looking back at the shot man. "Whats your name?"

Rolf had repliad to Klaus and another man had arrived, but the pain from Klaus's wound had made him dizzy, and he stammered "Im going to the med center to-" his voice tapered off as he trotted woozily tword the medical center, tripping a couple of times bucause off the blood and vodka oozing into his eyes. He slammed open the door and the older doctor yelled "Are we under attack!?!?" "No, theres a traitor out there, Rolf is pinning him-" he stopped as he thumped onto the medical chair. The doctor asked him what happened, "Vodka bottle, on the head, Gaaaaah" he let out a scream. " Take the d*mnd helmet off and maybe we can see something other than a bloody mess." Klaus ripped off his helmet, fumbling with the straps, as the doctor looked. "We got to get this cleaned out, then bandaged. We will leave that to nurse Helga." He said, as Klaus noticed a pretty little blond nurse at a desk with a type-writer on it. " Im going to tell the administration about this incident. Maybe the will send out a couple gaurds. I will be back." the doctor said, leaving the office. Klaus felt instantly better as the pretty nurse led him to a wash room.

"If you don't mind, I'll be heading to the infirmary now. Would you be so kind as to report this little incident to the SS security officers stationed here, while I send someone to take him? Thanks," Rolf said to the curious soldier. He didn't wait for a responce, he just gave him the P38, and stumbled to the infirmary. He had lost so much blood, that if you didn't see his left arm, you would have thought he was drunk. When he got to the infirmary, a crowd of about 20 young privates, fresh from training, by the looks of it, were following him. The doctor shooed the privates away, and when he got a good look at Rolf's arm, he asked, "Take a fall off a motorbike or something?" Rolf looked at the doctor with piercing blue eyes, that had barely any emotion, and said to him, "We have a traitor in our fine base. He attacked me and Klaus in the forest." "Ah yes, I remember Klaus," said the doctor. "He's over in the next room." He took Rolf to the waiting room where he saw Klaus. He was looking at a pretty blonde nurse sitting at a typewriter. She was typing something, and the sound of clictety clack filled the room. "Hey, Klaus," said Rolf half-jokingly. "If you think she's that hot, then why don't you ask her out?" He smiled a little, even though his broken arm was still hurting worse then the shrapnel he got in his leg during a grenade misfire during basic training.

Klaus laughed, more emmbaressed then amused. The nurse looked back at him and flashed him a pretty smile. God, shes hot, he thought to himself, staring at her lipsticked lips against a pale face. But then he remembered Rolf and said "You look like your losing alot of blood, we need to get you bandaged up." he dropped down to a whisper on this part. "Helga does a great job, if ya know what I mean" Klaus gave a wink. Just then, the elderly doctor burst through the door. "Lets get you bandaged up, soldier follow me". And lead Rolf to the door. Klaus stifled a laugh as he was lead out. Then his mind switched back to the private. Why would he steal? Does he have a mental problem? Or was he paid? By someone in the Wehrmacht? Or a civilian? Hes mind swam with these thaughts, but the glance of the nurse made them all go away.

Rolf looked back at Klaus, and gave him a knowing look, as the doctor led him away to get bandaged. "Hey doc, looks like you got one hell of a job on your hands today," saud Rolf, indicating to his left arm. The bone that was sticking out seemed to have gone back in some, but it was still out quite a ways. "I've seen worse," the doctor replied. "I was stationed in the Eastern Front, and there were people who had their lips, eyelids, and tongues frozen off. They were trying to scream in pain, but it sounded more like a gargle. I'm surprised you're not yelling." Rolf relpied to this,"I've been through a lot. I almost got my leg chopped off by a grenade in training. Luckily, there was a doctor nearby and he saved my leg. And over in Poland, I broke both my feet, and my left leg bone. It took 4 months to heal. But I still faught until they forced me back to a field hospital, and I got a Knights Cross for my actions there." The doctor feined interest, but he was really annoyed. He hated taking care of these tough guys who had seen all the action, and could take pain like a pro. They ticked him off so much, he was still a little baffled as to why he was taking care of them for a living. "We're here. Get in there so we can fix you up." About 10 minutes later, Rolf's arm was set, bandaged, and ready to heal. "Here's a presccription for some Demerol. Come to me if you don't feel right," said the doctor. "Thanks doc. I have a feeling I'll see you very soon," said Rolf. He got up, took the prescription, and went to get his pills.
