Johnathan Richard Parker was born in New York City, New York, to a baker and a housewife. He had no siblings, but he often spent time with friends from the neighborhood playing stickball or other sports. He had a very close bond with his father, Michael, and his mother, Marissa. Throughout his years at school, John was a top student and a skilled athlete. At age 18, he freely enlisted in the US army, determined to serve his country.
(If you need more of a history, it can certainly be provided. I just wrote a skeleton bio to give a general idea of John)
Military Rank:
1st Sergeant.
Writing Sample:
Scenario:You are in the middle of two German MG42's and have nothing but a grenade and bolt action rifle. There are 4 soldiers 1 in each nest and one one each side of you with MP40's. WHat would your character do? How would he respond?
John looked around him and saw the dead bodies of his whole company. All six of them, dead. The culprits stood not far from him. Unfortunately, they were far more well equipped than he was. John hid in his foxhole with naught but a grenade and his bolt-action rifle.
He quickly said a silent prayer to himself before springing into action. He first popped his head out of his foxhole and put a bullet directly between the eyes of the German on his right. Immediately, machinegun fire exploded around him, but he ducked into cover just in time. The other German made his way quickly towards the foxhole. John crouched with his gun thingyed and ready. As soon as the German was visible, Johny shot him in the chest. The German fell into the foxhole, dropping his gun.
Picking up the gun, John peeked out of cover once again and sprayed the MG on his right before ducking back into his hole. He continued this until the machinegunner on the right was dead. He then tossed a grenade into the other nest after cooking it sufficiently. The grenade exploded and killed the machinegunner, leaving John the only survivor of the skirmish.
