Jimmy dug into his cover. It was a small house with windows on each side. He went to one with the nearest MG pit. He got on the right side of the window and leaned a little to his left so he could see the MG. He took aim at the German's head, the black helmet gleamed in the sunlight. He lined up the site and fired. The bullet his the man's head. A loud ping sounded as the bullet ripped through the helmet. The other MG began firing and he heard a grenade hit the window seal. Luckily, it bounced off and an explosion was heard. He slipped the bolt back and another shell popped out.
Jimmy crouched down and made his way to the window with the other MG pit near it. He popped up fast and threw the grenade at it. It landed next to the pit and exploded. A few pieces of shrapnel hit the German in the arm. He heard him yell some curse words and popped out. With the man's chest lined in sight, he squeezed the trigger and it hit the German in the neck. He slipped back the bolt again and a shell hit the floor. The paratrooper ran to the other window and popped up, he heard shots ring out and felt himself jolt back, his left arm began to burn near the shoulder, he got hit. "Damnit!" he yelled as blood started drizzling from the wound.
Jimmy tore a piece of his fatigues off and pulled the bullet out with his fingers. He heard more shots ring out and a few fly through the window. He wrapped the wound tightly in the cloth and got back up. The lieutenant popped up and shot at the German, it missed! It was followed by some very inaccurate shots and the German crouching back into cover. Jimmy slid the bolt back and another shell popped out. The two began exchanging fire until the German got hit in chest with a well aimed bullet. He ran to the back window to see there was no German. Suddenly, the door was kicked open next to the window. Jimmy got up and ran to the German. He hit him in the back with rifle, but it wasn't enough.
The German fell down and got up. He pulled out a knife and started stabbing at Jimmy. Jimmy dodged a few, but eventually got sliced across the stomach. He came back angrily with the butt of his rifle. As he stepped forward and struck the German across the chin, he felt a sharp pain in his stomach, the German stabbed him! He began feeling his strength leave and pounded the man's head in with the butt of the gun. He dropped tp the ground, he coughed up some blood and felt his strength leaving completely. He was dying, it was getting colder and colder, his vision was starting to blur. The young soldier let out a final sigh before dying.
Thanks,
