Second LT
Writing Sample:
Scenario: After his Recon flight crashed William's first thought was to get to cover. Quickly running to the tree-line. After seeing a plane go down the Germans were sure to come looking. He only had three clips for his M1 Carbine, plus the one already in. He had no grenades and only two extra clips for his Colt 1911. He slung his Thompson over his shoulder and looked at a map by the light of the burning plane. "I was in the air for around an hour, the flight was supposed to be complete in three hours, so I'm about here..." The only helpful thing within miles was a small French village. He started to go for that. Running as fast as possible to get as much distance between him and the plane. He heard voice and an engine, he hit the ground and rolled into some bushes. Around five German soldiers started walking by. Two had MP44s the others had Kar 96ks. He started to move along, hoping they didn't hear him. One started towards the bushes. William knew that if he didn't fire now, there wouldn't be enough distance for him to escape the fire-fight. He took aim, and fired at the closest soldier, hitting him in the forehead. The Germans looked around and hit the ground. "Geben Sie Feuer zurück." The officer yelled twice. The other soldiers fired back at him. William rolled slightly to the side and began to move out of the way of the shots. He fired again and another German fell with a bullet in his chest. He ran to the side, the Germans saw and started to fire, he fell to the ground on purpose and rolled down the slope. The Germans looked to check if he was dead. After one got close he grabbed the MP44 out of his hands and kicked him back. He fired at the other two taking them down. He shot the last one in the head. He dragged the bodies back to the burning plane. He set the bodies on fire one by one. He hid their guns in the bushes. He took the vehicle they had come in and began to drove towards the town. After in the town he took a car from a French Couple and drove it back to the front-lines.
Thanks,
~Austin!
