Noises of men talking about erupted from outside. Antonio talking a sip from his bottle of beer he just bought enjoying the taste with a sense of accomplishment. After some ol' days up suffering from up in the north lands of Russia he was finally back in sunny ol' France. ''Shut your gobs, you lazy fella's'', shouted Antonio. A soldier poked his into the officer quaters, ''You know you can't actually be in here..this is the officers quarters, Sergeant..'' A deep moan by Antonio and he exited the quarters and headed to the middle of the dock. He loved being near the sea it was breezy. He chucked over his bottle of beer to another soldier and took out a cigarette. He was sad that he was going to be shipped out soon to Germany again because an officer was coming in two days after to take controlled of the low-key port.
After another intake of the cigarette the all worried, engineer came running along side to Antonio. ''Sergeant, You are supposed to be protecting me and the ship. Not spend your day sipping and taking cigarettes.'' Antonio looked at him hard. ''You want protection, then your getting it.'' He had to follow his orders as he didn't want a complain coming from the lead engineer of the dock. Antonio gathered the top of his voice, ''All men present arms! Start patrols of the dock now! If anything is sighted shoot on sight and don't regret it. '' He looked at the engineer with a sarcastic look as some men came out patrolling the area.
Antonio grabbed the Engineer and shoved him into the quarters after the engineer said that he needed to have to talk to him. the engineer spoke leaned closer to Antonio to whisper to him. ''Sergeant, You don't understand, we have top priority items in the submarine. These are very important.'' Antonio sighed as some sweat gathered on his forehead. He thought this was a protect the dock and the ship kind of mission. He understood the seriousness now, taking his rifle from inside his locker and reloading it and slinging in on his back, he stepped out observing the night sky as the men roamed around the dock once more.

The soldiers quietly shuffled to the rally point. The overcast night and slightly dense forestation concealed their movement from the shipyard area. Masterson was on point with First Sergeant Webb (and the rest of B Company) close behind.
The platoon of men made their way near the thick area of the forest line and knelt down in a huddle next to Masterson. He called for Webb to come up to his position. Webb came close to Masterson’s face so he could receive his orders. Masterson gave them out. ”Have the platoon spread out along the tree line. Lay low and cover all points of entry into the shipyard. I’m moving down the path to pick up our gift. Have Luz meet me down their.”
Webb nodded to Captain Masterson and went back to the group of men. Masterson double timed his way down the sloped dirty path. His boots padded into the dirt, leaving dry light marks into the ground as he trotted. He slowed his pace as he neared a group of brushes. But these were no ordinary brushes, they were put there for a reason.
Just as Masterson came to the brushes, Sergeant Luz, the company’s radio operator, was right behind him. Masterson motioned for Luz to help him remove these bushes. The two went to separate ends and collected the brush and slowly and quietly slid them from what they were covering. A German staff car.
Masterson then hopped into the backseat which laid a hand cranked phone and a set of telephone wire. Masterson handed the equipment to Luz who began to assemble it. Masterson knew he now had to connect the wires to the main line leading to the base, which means he’d have to get close to the guard booth.
He crawled his way with wire in hand and continued to move as far as Luz gave him slack. Masterson approached the guardhouse and froze. There he saw two sentries. One at the booth, and the other across the gate. Luckily, he needn’t go any further because the wire box in the dirt was just off to his left. He came to it and slowly opened it up. He then took his hands and ripped out a section of wires, and then binded the wire that Luz gave him to it. He then slowly closed the box, and crawled his way back to Luz’s position.
When he returned, Masterson could see his platoon of men scattered across the tree line, keeping a watchful eye on any German patrols coming near. He then say next to Luz and gave him a nod. Luz then began to spin the crank to produce enough power. When it reached power, he flipped a switch and heard a series of buzzes. He gave a thumbs up to Masterson. Luz heard a click, someone had picked up the phone. Luz began to speak in his best German.
”Hallo.
(“Hello. This is Lieutenant von Der Heydete with the First Flotilla. I am reporting to inform you that Flottillenadmiral Zimmer is coming to inspect the shipyard and to confirm to the SS that U-707 is in safe harbor for repairs. He will be arriving at approxamitely 23:30 accompanied by his sentries. Please treat him with proper respect, as he reports directly to the Furher.”)
Luz then promptly hung up the wired phone and pushed it aside. Masterson then got up and opened the trunk of the staff car. Inside it he removed a pre fabricated German naval officer uniform, the rank of Flottillenadmiral. He began to undress as Luz made his way back to First Sergeant Webb. Masterson finished assembling his uniform with the hat. He walked back to Webb and handed him his American gear. All Masterson had now was a Luger pistol with extra shots. He gave his final orders to Webb.
”When Harland arrives, have him park the halftrack far back out of hearing distance and to await until he is absolutely needed. Have Lang come to the tree line and watch over the front with the rest of the men. Myself, Luz, and Holt will enter the shipyard, and attempt to take care of business. Be ready, Hell could break lose at any moment.”
Webb nodded once more to Masterson and walked back to await for Harland and Lang to arrive. Luz went to get Holt, and the two set back to the staff car and proceeded to put on German sentry uniforms. After doing so, they left their American gear with the rest of the platoon. They were armed with MP-40s and a P-38 each. Masterson met them down at the staff car and the trio got inside.
They were to wait for Harland and Lang to arrive, at which time a signal would be sent from Webb, and then the three would drive around the shipyard and begin their mission.

The air in the quarters was cold as he was pacing in the officers quarters. The engineer had brought the code papers into the quarters for them to view. The engineer closely studied them while Antonio occupied himself with the beer near the door. ''So they hauled there useless code books onto this submarine, eh? From all the ones out there, into my dock!'' This is not going to be good he knew. Where important things were enemies attracted. Like bees to honey, he clutched his gun from his shoulder and walked out.
The men patrolling were a bit serious now because they had the feeling something was up, rumors spread fast. Antonio ran back in as the engineer called for him. They got a message. He listened carefully and they talked it over, no inspector has reported to come in. Antonio was has taken a few sips of beer up to then and was slightly intoxicated. ''Haha, Some Toff wants to inspect here! Baah! Screw them'' The drunk Tech-Sergeant grabbed the radio.
''This is Engineer Leonid, We regret to inform you that Tenente Colonnello of the Italian Army is staying here for the night. He is and important member within the Relationship of the two armies and we have to deny your request....'' After cut off the system he laughed his head off and headed into the corner and continued drinking and yelled out ''Don't let any bastards in!!'', while the engineer ignored him and continued with the code-books.
Masterson's platoon. Masterson in the blue box (German staff car) with Luz and Holt (Masterson in the middle).

The half track slowly rolled towards the rally point, its cargo, nothing. James killed the half track's engine, and let her roll to a stop, he grabbed his M1, and stepped out, he could see Masterson's platoon up ahead. James hopped into the back, checking to make sure everything was operational. The 30. Cal was ready to go, the troop hold was clear, and ready to transport, James made sure that all the extra ammo crates were secure, James brought enough ammo to last him days, or the platoon an hour. James figured that the Kruat staff car up ahead must have been Captain Masterson's. James jumped out of the back of the Half track, M1 in hand, and landed on the ground, James looked at the platoon ahead, and crouched down behind his half track, and waited for his orders.

((Sorry it took me so long, I had mid-terms this week.))
Robert moved as slowly and quietly as he could through the foliage. He was on his first mission, and he didn't want to do anything stupid. He also was armed only with a Lee-Enfield rifle and frag grenade, plus his standard kit. He would have prefered a M1 Garand or a Springfield, but he would deal with what he had. As he moved along, he saw Pvt. Harland's half-track nearby, as well as Capt. Masterson's platoon. Robert then saw Capt. Masterson giving orders to several other soldiers and went over to him. He saluted and said, "Sir, Corporal Robert Lang reporting for duty."

Masterson, outfitted as a German Naval Rear-admiral, handed out his orders to the newly arrived Corporal. ”Lang, you’re with First Sergeant Webb, assist him in commanding the men in the woods and help direct fire if necessary. If trouble takes place, I shall make a signal and you and Webb will order the open fire. Once that happens, Harland will roll in with the halftrack to help extract me and the others.” Masterson nodded to Lang and then motioned for Luz to turn the German staff car on and make way for the entrance to the shipyard.
The German staff car drove around the wooded barrier and onto the main road. Luz drove at a quick but controlled pace. Masterson, having known that the man in charge at the shipyard was nothing more than an obviously drunken NCO, he’d be easily able to restore order amongst the men, giving him time to take care of business.
The car made it’s way up towards the guardhouse and the entrance to the shipyard. Masterson felt a small lump develop in his throat. He grunted to clear it and began to look around past the entrance. He could see a small German corvette apparently in dry dock, vacant. Off to the right and in the rear were buildings and a small fuel depot.
Luz brought the car to a screeching halt in front the guard house and quickly applied the hand brake. It was now or never for Masterson to put on his act. He quickly opened his own door and stepped out. Luz and Holt, dressed as sentries, also exited the car and stood on each side of Masterson.
The trio made their way to the guard house where a German guard awaited them. Masterson needed not for him to speak. He quickly pulled out his identification papers and presented them to the guard. He then spoke to the guard with fluent German. ”I am Rear-admiral Zimmer! I DEMAND to speak to the NCO in charge at once! I am appalled and outraged of his conduct! The Fuhrer will be mostly displeased with his actions of recent over the wire! Bring him to me now! And let me in!” Masterson snorted at the guard and he, Holt, and Luz got back into the car and waited for the guard to open the gate and let them in. No doubt a lone German guard would easily follow command of a far superior officer.
