Character History:
Wiktor was born 1912 into an average middle class Polish family living in the bustling town of Warsaw. His father worked as an assistant chairmen for a banking corporation and his mother was a house wife, due to Wiktor having 5 brothers and 2 sisters of numerous ages. They lived in a big but modest house near the Vistula river. The house possed two floors and about 11 rooms putting the family at a high middle class, unlike most of the poverty stricken in Poland at the time.Writing Sample:
At age 6, Wiktor was sent to school at Warsaw. Always being the "brainiac" Wiktor achieved top marks from 1st to 12th grade and boasting a 3.9 GPA. When not in school Wiktor enjoyed romping around with the other neighborhood kids as well as working out daily when he was older kept him in a top physical condition.
At the age of 19, after graduating highschool and resting for one year, Wiktor was invited to America to attend the Philadelphia Univesity to study banking, like his father. While in America Wiktor took a love for the majestic and beutiful country, the sense of freedom and promise. After finishing the college at the age of 25, Wiktor wanted to stay in America but his family needed him. His father had just passed away of old age, and the family needed Wiktor to help support them.
Wiktor returned to Poland and lived there for two more years. At the age of 27, in the year of 1939, Hitler made his first move. Waves of German troops poured into the country through gaps made by the blitzkreig of the German tank divisions, Poland didn't stand a chance against such an onslaught.
It was September 6, a date that forever will be embedded into Wiktor's mind. A few days earlier the family learned of the German invasion, but they thought nothing of it. Wiktor left the house to go hunting in a near forest that he often went to when he was troubled. Wiktor arrived 2 hours later to witness murder. Smoke poured from his house as he saw his mother, wife, brother, and his two sons dragged our by Nazi's. He saw them thrust against the only wall not on fire. He heard the machine guns being reloaded. He heard the order Feuer!. He saw the men pull the triggers. Finally he saw the bullet ridden corpses of the ones he loved fall to the ground never to move again.
Wiktor quickly fled with nothing but the clothes on his back from now Nazi occupied Poland over to France, taking a boat to his second home, America. Not wasting a moment, Wiktor sought out the nearest recruiting station for the U.S. Army. After extensive training he became a genuine American soldier ready to fight the war against the Axis powers.
This were we find Wiktor today. A soldier with vengance and fury toward the ones that took everything, his home, his family, and his life. He will not rest until the Axis falls and the ones that have harmed his country and himself face justice.
Everything was dark. The inside of Wiktors head was pounding as he struggled to remember were he was. Then it all came back. He was somewhere in Africa, on the Sahara. His division was sent to deal with some maraduing Germans disrupting the supply lines of Allied troops. They came there eager for an easy fight, they would never expect what would wait.Approved/Denied?: Approved
Sure they found the Germans easily, but thats because they wanted them too. Instead of a small group of rag tag troops, they discovered a division of heavy disciplined troops, along with two panzer tanks and one halftrack. The fighting that issued was fierce, both sides not wanting to lose an inch of the dry desert sands. But the out gunned American Division was obliterated.
Thats when the call was sent for a tactical retreat. Wiktor was in the front lines in the thick of the action. He was part of the vangaurd in the rear to keep at bay the Germans while the rest of the army retreated. They were succesful and Wiktors company was ordered to retreat as well.
At first Everything was orderly, tell the panzer came. Rolled right over a sand dune, they didn't see it coming. Soon as it was in sight, all hell broke lose. The tank opened fire on the company, shreding men down at ease. Wiktor was about to escape when a 75mm round impacted near his location. Wiktor was stunned by the shock, and never escaped. The Nazi's took him for a casualtie, and left him there for the vultures.
Wiktor now rembering this, stood up and survied the land. The battle was over, all that remained were the bodies of his fellows. Checking his body for damages and finding none, Wiktor began trying to find a way back. He began walking back toward the direction he bealived to be were the Allied camp was.
An hour passed before Wiktor made any headway. He stumbled across an Allied jeep abandoned no doubt during the retreat. Wiktor prayed it still worked and climbed in. He held back a grin as he turned the key and the engine came to life.
Wiktor began driving through the desert sands toward what he hoped were the front lines of the Allied force. Soon he saw that indeed the Allied camp was before him and he felt a wave of joy flood over him. He would live.
A few moments later Wiktor stumbled into the presence of a suprised gaurd who imediatly began calling in for a medic. Wiktor began once again losing concious from fatigue and thirst, but now he knew that the next time he woke, he would be in the presence not of death and decay, but friends.
Staff Notes:
[green]Brilliant application, good enough for me. I am giving you the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Austin may have a few words for you, though you will probably get the rank. The only errors you had were some easily grammar and spelling mistakes, that could easily be solved for using spell check.
Well welcome to the site, Lieutenant.
